Cookie Policy at Longship Invest

Information about the use of cookies on the Longship Invest website and electronic self-service platforms.

Why do we inform about cookies?

The EU’s e-data protection directive is implemented in Denmark through Executive Order no. 1148 of December 9, 2011, issued pursuant to Sections 9 and 81, paragraph 2 of Act no. 169 of March 3, 2011, on electronic communications networks and services.

Among other things, the rules stipulate that all websites that use technologies to store or retrieve information on a user’s computer or other IT equipment (called cookies) require information and consent from the user of an online service before the technology is used.

The cookie rules are part of the rules on the protection of personal data, but since this data collection does not involve information that can identify a person, these rules regulate data collection in a broader sense.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a file that is stored on the used computer or other IT equipment, such as a smartphone or tablet. The file is passive, but it allows Longship Invest to recognize, for example, the used tablet or computer and thereby obtain information about which pages and functions are used from the equipment. There is nothing unsafe about cookies, and they cannot, for example, spread viruses or obtain information about who the user of the equipment is, where the user lives or stays, or otherwise identify a person.
